Damsel in Defense Pearl Director Designated Crime Prevention Specialist

Las Vegas, NV (October 29, 2015) – The list of certifications continue to grow for Damsel in Defense representative, Patti Stewart, who was recently designated with the status of International Crime Prevention Specialist.

The certification was awarded by the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners (ISCPP) on September 30, 2015 at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Headquarters.  Patti and 10 other ISCPP members received the certification after successfully completing the International Crime Prevention Specialist curriculum written by crime prevention specialists from all over the world.The course included core subjects such as sexual assault, domestic violence, neighborhood watch, crime analysis, personal safety and rural crime prevention.

Patti is a Pearl Director with Damsel in Defense- a company that sells tools and products that help women to protect them against acts of violence.  Earlier this year, she also earned a self defense certification from the Women’s Self Defense University.  She is now using her certification to offer free self defense classes in Las Vegas.

Commenting on her recent designation, Patti said: “I am committed to playing a role in reducing the crime statistics. That is why I am doing everything I can to empower myself with knowledge and skills to share with other women.”
